Historic Appointment: First Female Fitness Coach in Mauritania’s Men’s Football

Mauritanian third-division club Ways FC has announced the appointment of Bonko Kamara as the men’s team fitness coach, making her the first woman to hold this position in a men’s football team in the country.
In an official statement, the club said: "Ways FC is pleased to welcome Bonko Kamara as the team’s new fitness coach. We recognize her vast experience in physical preparation and development."
Having worked as a teacher for FIFA's TDS program and with the Mauritanian women's national team, Kamara has an exceptional history. She has a great deal of experience improving players' physical performance thanks to these positions.
Kamara is also working toward obtaining her CAF B coaching license, which enhances her credentials and makes her a valuable member of the club's technical team.
