"His life is a bit easier" – Salah compares himself to Haaland
Mohamed Salah is having a fantastic season and has a strong chance of becoming a Premier League champion. This weekend, Liverpool face a major challenge against Manchester City, and the Egyptian compared himself to Erling Haaland.
Details: Salah was asked about his thoughts on Haaland and how he compares himself to the Norwegian striker.
Quote: "I have great respect for Erling Haaland. He’s a striker, so his life is a bit easier! Having such numbers as a winger is much harder. Any winger will tell you that. So, I see the difference between us—he's a striker, and I'm a winger," Salah stated.
Liverpool and Manchester City will face off in Premier League matchweek 26 on Sunday, February 23, at the Etihad Stadium, with kickoff at 17:30 CET.
Meanwhile, Salah recently became the first player in one of Europe's top five leagues to both score and assist in 10 different matches in a single season. The last player to achieve this was Lionel Messi in the 2014-15 season (11 times for Barcelona).
Reminder: We previously reported that Salah set a club record for Liverpool in the Premier League.
