"He's scary." Fury explained why he turned down a staredown fight with Usyk
British boxer Tyson Fury explained why he refused the stare-down with Oleksandr Usyk after the press conference.
"He's a scary dude," Fury remarked.
"Now, I'm just relaxing here. Awaiting the ring entrance on Saturday. All the talks and interviews are over. Now, I'm relaxed and focused."
The showdown for the title of undisputed world champion in the heavyweight division between Usyk and Fury is scheduled for May 18 in Riyadh. All belts and the title of undisputed heavyweight world champion will be at stake.
Together, the Ukrainian and the Briton hold all the major belts in the heavyweight division – WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO, and WBC.
Recall that preceding the pugilists' press conference, representatives of their entourages engaged in a skirmish, culminating in Tyson Fury's father, John, headbutting one of Usyk's team members, ultimately lacerating his own forehead.
