Monnapule Saleng has ended a challenging chapter of his career at Orlando Pirates and returned to the club where it all began—Orbit College. The 28-year-old winger joins the team on loan and is set to play a key role in the club’s debut Betway Premier League season.

Saleng struggled for game time at Pirates due to off-the-field issues and a tense relationship with management. Now, he’ll reunite with coach Pogiso Mahoya, the man who first spotted his talent.

I’m truly delighted to have my son back. I still can’t quite believe it. Maybe I’ll believe it when I see him at training or when the club officially introduces him. My relationship with Saleng goes back eight years. I discovered this boy when he was just a kid. I brought him to Rustenburg. I worked with him for three years. That’s why I say he’s like a son to me. I made him the player he is today. No one knows this player better than I do, Mahoya told FARPost.

Thus, Saleng’s loan move is not just a boost for the elite newcomers, but a heartfelt reunion between a player and the coach who has always believed in his potential.
