The saga surrounding the transfer of Napoli forward Victor Osimhen to another club seems to be nearing its conclusion. The sporting director of the Italian club, Giovanni Manna, revealed that the Nigerian striker has approached the management with a request.
"Victor Osimhen has asked for permission to leave the club this summer. He wants to go. The situation is clear; the possibility of his departure was already discussed last summer, but Victor stayed. We will see how it ends in the next 20 days," Manna noted.
It’s worth mentioning that Osimhen's contract with Napoli runs until 2026, and his transfer value is estimated at 100 million euros. Previously, there were reports of interest from Chelsea.
Last season, the 25-year-old played 32 matches for the Italian club, scoring 17 goals and providing four assists.
