Chelsea has been extremely active in the transfer market this offseason. So far, the Blues have signed eight new players for a total of €129 million, while three more have been promoted from the academy.
Currently, the squad boasts five goalkeepers, fifteen defenders, an equal number of midfielders, and ten forwards. However, it appears that the London club is not done yet.
They are soon expected to confirm deals for Pedro Neto from Wolves and Samu Omorodion from Atlético Madrid, but they continue to search for another striker. According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea is also monitoring Victor Osimhen and intends to secure him on loan for the upcoming season.
Last night, Napoli announced that the Nigerian forward expressed his desire to leave the club after being excluded from the squad for the Coppa Italia match against Modena.
Although many clubs have shown interest in Osimhen, Chelsea might be the ones to land him. Many teams have already filled their rosters and moved on from pursuing the Nigerian striker. Paris Saint-Germain may join the race as they continue to search for a replacement for Kylian Mbappé, but they have yet to take any action. Meanwhile, the French champions could offer a permanent deal, whereas Chelsea is focused solely on a loan move.
With three weeks remaining in the transfer window across many European countries, it's likely that one of the giants will manage to lure Victor Osimhen. It's almost certain that the Nigerian striker will leave Napoli this summer.
