Romano reports that the move is structured as a loan with a mandatory buy clause. The player has given the green light to the Villa project, there is an agreement between all parties, and the medical has also been cleared to go ahead.
The 28-year-old right-back is available after West Ham's relegation from the Premier League last season. He has yet to feature for the Hammers this campaign, having been left out of the squad for their Carabao Cup win over Notts County and the Championship opener against Burnley.
It is worth noting that last season Wan-Bissaka made 25 Premier League appearances for West Ham, providing 2 assists. According to Transfermarkt, the DR Congo international's value stands at 22 million euros.
