Here we go! The France national team midfielder will fly to Milan tomorrow
Central midfielder Youssouf Fofana of AS Monaco and the French national team will indeed be changing clubs this summer.
According to Fabrizio Romano, despite interest from several English clubs, Fofana is set to join AC Milan. He is expected to arrive in Italy tomorrow to undergo a medical examination and finalize the contract.
Milan will pay Monaco €25 million plus bonuses for the transfer. The player will sign a four-year contract with an option to extend for an additional season.
Fofana had made it clear to Monaco's management that he specifically wanted to move to Milan. With only one year remaining on his contract, the club was compelled to let him go.
Fofana joined Monaco from Strasbourg in the winter of 2020 and has since played 175 matches across all competitions for the Monegasques.
This summer, Fofana was part of the French national team at Euro 2024, coming off the bench in three matches. He has 21 caps for *Les Bleus* in total.
