Here we go! Milan signs Spanish defender from their rivals

Details: According to renowned and respected journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on his social media page on X, Milan have reached a full agreement with Lazio for the transfer of centre-back Mario Gila. The deal is done, and the player will become a new recruit for Rúben Amorim's squad.

Sources report that the clubs have already reached a verbal agreement, and Gila has pre-agreed a five-year contract with the Rossoneri. The Spanish defender personally requested to be released to join Milan's new project.

A unique aspect of this transfer is that 50% of the fee will go to Real Madrid—a clause set when Gila moved from Los Blancos' academy to Lazio in 2022.

Last season, Gila made 36 appearances for Lazio but did not contribute any goals or assists. According to Transfermarkt, Mario Gila's current market value is estimated at €30 million.
