Kristjan Asllani is ready to swap Milan for Abu Dhabi after giving the green light to a surprising new chapter in his career.
Details: According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, the Albanian midfielder has agreed to join Al Jazira from Inter. A verbal agreement is now in place between Asllani and the Emirati club over his contract, with Romano giving the transfer his trademark here we go confirmation.
Inter are expected to receive a €2 million loan fee for the 24-year-old, while the agreement will also include an option to buy worth more than €5 million. The clause could become mandatory depending on the number of appearances Asllani makes for Al Jazira.
The latest development represents a major step forward compared with the situation a day earlier, when the clubs had already found common ground but the player's personal terms were still being discussed. Asllani has now accepted the destination, clearing one of the most important remaining obstacles to the move.
Asllani returned to Inter this summer following loan spells with Torino and Besiktas. During his spell with the Turkish club in the second half of last season, the Albania international made 17 appearances and scored two goals. It is worth noting that Transfermarkt currently values him at €12 million, while his Inter contract runs until June 2028.
