Details: According to renowned journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano on his X social media page, Colombian striker Jhon Durán is on the verge of joining Benfica. The deal has already been agreed, with the forward set to join the Portuguese club on loan with a non-mandatory buy option.

According to reports, Durán turned down offers from two Champions League clubs, opting instead for the Benfica project. One of the decisive factors was his desire to work under Marco Silva.

It is reported that during his loan spell, Durán’s wages will be jointly paid by Benfica and Al Nassr, who currently hold his rights.

The Colombian is expected to undergo his medical this coming weekend, after which the transfer will become official.

Jhon Durán’s market value is estimated at €15 million by Transfermarkt.
