Here we go! Chelsea agree deal for rising Serie A star

Chelsea continue their active transfer campaign, strengthening their squad with some of the most promising talents in world football.

Details: Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement with Atalanta over the permanent transfer of 18-year-old centre-back Honest Ahanor.

The deal is worth around £40 million (more than €40 million). The parties are currently finalising the remaining details and completing the paperwork, while the player has already received permission to travel.

Chelsea's hierarchy will soon determine the best direction for Ahanor's further development. The club are seriously considering immediately sending the 18-year-old out on loan to another Premier League side, allowing him to secure regular playing time and adapt to English football.

It is worth noting that Honest Ahanor made 35 appearances for Atalanta in all competitions during the 2025/26 season, scoring one goal. According to analytics website Transfermarkt, the young defender's current market value is estimated at €30 million.
