Details: The Belgium national team has settled on its new head coach. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Mark van Bommel has agreed all the terms of his contract with the Royal Belgian Football Association.

The agreement is reportedly set to run until June 2028, with the official signing of documents expected soon. Van Bommel is set to replace Rudi Garcia, who stepped down after the conclusion of the World Cup.

For the 48-year-old coach, taking charge of the Belgian national team marks a new chapter in his managerial career. The federation is counting on the former Netherlands midfielder to restore Belgium's status as contenders for major international trophies.

According to the source, the deal is fully agreed, and the official announcement is expected shortly.

Previously, Van Bommel served as assistant coach for the Australia national team and was head coach at PSV, Wolfsburg, and Antwerp.
