Here we go! Barcelona to sign Genk's talented defender Juwensley Onstein

Barcelona have finalized a deal for yet another rising star.

Details: According to insider Fabrizio Romano, both parties have reached a full agreement, and the transfer of 18-year-old centre-back Juwensley Onstein from Belgian side Genk is now a done deal.

The Dutch talent will join Barcelona B, where he will continue his development within the Catalan giant’s system. Reports confirm the signing is fully completed and the young defender is set to link up with his new club in the coming days.

Interestingly, Barcelona managed to outpace several Italian clubs in the race for his signature. Earlier this month, Onstein was on the verge of a move to Serie A, but the Blaugrana acted swiftly to hijack the deal and convinced him to make the switch to Camp Nou.

It’s worth noting that the centre-back is yet to make his first appearance for Genk’s senior squad.
