Details: According to renowned insider Fabrizio Romano, Reiss Nelson has successfully completed his medical and is joining Feyenoord as a free agent after leaving Arsenal. The 26-year-old winger agreed personal terms with the Rotterdam club on Tuesday night, and the deal has now reached its final stage.

Nelson became a free agent after Arsenal and the player mutually agreed to terminate his contract. The London club confirmed his departure on August 27, bringing an end to an 18-year association that began when the attacker joined the Gunners' academy as a child.

For Nelson, Feyenoord is a very familiar destination. The Englishman already spent the 2021/22 season on loan in Rotterdam and was part of the team that reached the UEFA Europa Conference League final under Arne Slot.

His return is now set to be permanent rather than another loan spell. Having passed the medical and agreed terms, Nelson can be considered a new Feyenoord player according to Romano, although the club's formal presentation was still expected at the time of the report.

It is worth noting that Nelson made 90 first-team appearances for Arsenal, scoring eight goals and providing nine assists. During his previous season with Feyenoord, he featured 32 times in all competitions, registering four goals and seven assists.
