Manchester City have decided to take advantage of the winter transfer window to secure the signing of a new player.

Details: As reported by insider Fabrizio Romano, Bournemouth player Anthony Semenyo will continue his career with the Manchester club. He has given his trademark “here we go” to this transfer.

The deal is worth £65 million, with Semenyo set to sign a long-term contract after completing medical examinations scheduled for Thursday, January 8.

Anthony chose Manchester City despite interest from several top clubs. He wants to work under Guardiola.

Meanwhile, 28-year-old Portuguese centre-back Rúben Dias is expected to be sidelined for around six weeks due to a hamstring injury.

Reminder: Pep Guardiola is currently facing an urgent search for a new defender, as not only Rúben Dias has picked up an injury, but another centre-back is also unavailable.
