Bournemouth's right-back Alex Jiménez is set to sign with a new club soon.
Details: According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Spanish defender Alex Jiménez will continue his career in Italy. The 21-year-old is about to sign a contract with Fiorentina.
The Italian side will pay his €20 million release clause. Notably, Jiménez spent last season on loan at Bournemouth, after which the English club exercised their option to buy and then sold him to Fiorentina.
In the 2025/26 season, Jiménez featured in 33 matches across all competitions, netting one goal and providing one assist.
It should also be mentioned that Jiménez was accused of pedophilia after screenshots of his alleged correspondence with a girl who claimed to be 15 years old appeared on social media. Bournemouth subsequently launched an internal investigation into the situation.
