Serie A newcomer Como continues to assemble an impressive squad ahead of the new season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, former Real Madrid and Manchester United central defender Raphaël Varane will sign a contract with Cesc Fàbregas's team. All documents are prepared, and only the signatures are pending. Varane will sign an agreement until June 2026, with an option to extend until 2027.

Previously, Como signed former Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina, and now another ex-Liverpool player has joined Fàbregas's squad. Como's press office announced the signing of former Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno.

Additionally, Fàbregas is no longer an interim manager but has been appointed as the full-time head coach. His new contract extends until the summer of 2028.
