Former Spanish footballer and now coach, Cesc Fàbregas, is currently managing the Italian team Como, which has been promoted to Serie A.

As announced on the club's website, Fàbregas is no longer the interim coach but has become the permanent manager. The new contract extends until the summer of 2028. Como marks Fàbregas' first experience as a head coach. He ended his playing career in the summer of 2023 and had been serving as the interim head coach of the Italian club since November.

Under Fàbregas' leadership, Como has returned to Serie A and will compete in the top flight for the first time in 21 years.

Recently, World Cup and European Championship winner with the Spanish national team, and former player of three Italian clubs, Pepe Reina, signed a one-year contract with Como.
