Today, former right-back Dani Alves was released from custody after posting bail of 1 million euros. However, Alves himself could not afford such a sum due to debts and frozen accounts.

It was previously assumed that Neymar's father helped Alves by allegedly paying the bail. However, Neymar's father later denied this information.

According to journalist Mabhut Al-Narri, Dani Alves was assisted by forward Memphis Depay from Atlético, who became friends with the Brazilian footballer during their time together at Barcelona.

Dani Alves will remain free for as long as his appeal is being considered.

It is noteworthy to recall that Dani Alves was found guilty of assaulting a 23-year-old woman in the restroom of a prestigious nightclub in Barcelona, although the footballer claims the encounter was consensual. The woman alleges that Alves attacked her and then struck her. He was sentenced to 4.5 years of imprisonment.

Throughout his career, Alves also played for Juventus, PSG, São Paulo, Sevilla, and the Mexican club Pumas.
