The WBC super lightweight champion, Devin Haney, believes that Ryan Garcia crossed a line when he made comments about his religion.

“Ryan Garcia has known me since I was 10 years old. He knows the type of fighter I am. He can say what he is going to say; we know he is going to bark and downplay me, the type of fighter I am. After April 20, he is going to say he knew how great I was.

He crossed the line when commented his religion. Let’s leave it at what it is now.” Haney said

The bout between Haney and Garcia is scheduled to take place on April 20th in New York. Haney's father previously explained how the purse would be divided between the fighters for their upcoming fight.

This will be the seventh encounter between the boxers but the first as professionals. They faced each other six times in amateur boxing matches.

Earlier, Haney revealed the reason for Garcia's inadequate behaviour in public space. Devin believes that his future opponent's alcoholism is to blame.
