American Heavyweight Alonzo Butler (34-3-2, 25 KOs) Passes Away

Details: Known as "Big Zo," Butler has passed away at the age of 44. Knox News reported that his daughter, Jazlyn, confirmed the news.

Butler’s professional record stood at 34-3-2 with 25 knockouts.

Background: His last fight took place on August 28, 2021, when he secured a win over Brandon Spencer by decision.

Interestingly, Deontay Wilder once praised Butler’s punching power. When asked about the hardest hitter he’d encountered, the "Bronze Bomber" pointed to Butler as his answer.

"Butler gave me an incredible sparring session. He was the fastest athlete at 115 kilograms that I've ever seen. If he had had a good promoter and a strong team behind him, he could have become a world champion. I used to look up to him and learned a lot from him. His punches in sparring were the hardest I've ever felt," Wilder recalled.
