Arsenal star Bukayo Saka recently met with his first childhood coach, Colin Nixon, in a touching reunion organized as part of the Chase Football Coaches program, reports Daily Mail. The two reminisced about emotional moments from Saka's early football journey.
Saka credited Nixon with having a significant impact on his career, acknowledging that his early lessons laid the foundation for his current success as one of the world's most talented footballers.
"He always made everyone feel so confident and loved and supported. That's all you can ask for at that age. Coaches have a really big impact on players at a young age, but that's only if coaches create the right environment," Saka shared.
Nixon discovered the young talent when Saka was just six years old, playing for local team Greenford Celtic. The Arsenal star revealed that he still keeps his Greenford Celtic jersey at home, alongside iconic shirts of Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Saka made his debut for Arsenal's first team in a Europa League match against Ukrainian side Vorskla Poltava in 2018, at just 17 years old.
