Heartfelt: Sir Alex Ferguson regularly visited Denis Law before his passing
Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson visited a care home up to three times a week to see United legend Denis Law, who was battling dementia, The Sun reports.

Ferguson provided touching support to his friend, who tragically passed away on Friday at the age of 84.
The Scottish footballing icon also attended Old Trafford on Sunday, where the club held a ceremony to honor Law’s legacy ahead of their match. Flowers were laid at the stadium’s statue commemorating Law, George Best, and Bobby Charlton.
"Everyone at Manchester United is mourning the loss of Denis Law, the King of the Stretford End, who has passed. With 237 goals in 404 appearances, he will always be celebrated as one of the club’s greatest and most beloved players. The ultimate goalscorer, his flair, spirit and love for the game made him the hero of a generation. Our deepest condolences go out to Denis’s family and many friends. His memory will live on forever more," read an official club statement.
David Beckham also paid tribute to Law in a heartfelt Instagram post.
