Hearn believes Tyson Fury can beat Usyk in their rematch
Renowned promoter Eddie Hearn shared his expectations of a rematch between WBC, WBO, WBA and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and former champion Tyson Fury.
Details: Hearn believes both Fury and Usik took real damage in their first fight, and wonders who will have more strength left to continue. But the promoter believes ‘The Gypsy King’ will win.
Quote: ‘I'm a little bit closer to Team Fury now, and I think they believe Tyson will be in a much better position and condition for the rematch. Ironically, I've never bet against Fury, except, Usyk's last fight, and I - I think he can do it. I really think he can.
It's going to be interesting how much this fight took from both of them, because when Usyk came back to the locker room, he could barely stand on his feet, he was being held down. Fury was all over the place in the ninth round. I think Tyson can do it - get the win. But we need to do our job on Saturday (Joshua - Dubois fight), and then we can expect to be at the ring on 21 December,’ said the promoter.
Recall: In a few months, 21 December, will be the second fight between the British and Ukrainian for three heavyweight titles.
Earlier, Usyk announced the start of training camp before the rematch against Fury.
