"He will be a key player for us". Pochettino assessed the midfielder's goal-scoring debut in the EPL

Chelsea's head coach, Mauricio Pochettino, highlighted the goal-scoring debut of midfielder Christopher Nkunku in the English Premier League.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder scored a goal against Wolves in his debut match in the English championship, coming on as a substitute in the 59th minute. However, this effort wasn't enough for the Blues, as Pochettino's side lost 1:2.
“I’m very pleased to see Nkunku score, it shows how important he can be for us. We cannot put too much pressure on him but a quality player who can score goals. We are very confident in him to get to his best and be a key player for us”. told Pochettino after match.
Nkunku joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig for €60 million in the summer. During the offseason, the Frenchman suffered a serious injury that kept him sidelined until now. Christopher debuted for the Aristocrats on December 19th in a League Cup match against Newcastle, playing for 19 minutes.
After today's match, the London-based team remained in 10th place in the Premier League table. On December 27th, the Aristocrats will host Crystal Palace, wrapping up the year with an away game against Luton on December 30th.
