"He was a good guy": MMA fighter Bryce Mitchell comments on Adolf Hitler
Bryce Mitchell, an MMA fighter, has found himself in a major controversy after making statements in support of Adolf Hitler, the leader of Nazi Germany in the mid-20th century. He expressed his views on that historical era during the Arkansanity program.
Mitchell stated that he considers Hitler a good man who fought for his country and wanted to cleanse it of "greedy Jews."
"I honestly think that Hitler was a good guy based upon my own research, not my public education indoctrination," Mitchell said.
When his co-host, Roli Delgado, objected by saying that people cannot be sent to concentration camps based on their race, Bryce began denying the Holocaust, claiming that the Nazis could not have exterminated that many people. However, Mitchell emphasized that he is not a Nazi and would not have wanted them to win the war.
Unsurprisingly, his words caused a massive backlash. UFC president Dana White sharply criticized Mitchell, calling him "one of the dumbest people," and demanded a comment from him.
Mitchell later apologized for his statements but denied that he should face any punishment, arguing that he has the right to freedom of speech.
