New basketball fan? Conor McGregor attends U.S. college basketball game
MMA superstar Conor McGregor continues to enjoy his time off while relaxing in the United States. This time, the Irishman attended a college basketball game, reports TMZ.
McGregor had a great time and even fired up the crowd, joining the BYU Cougars players and fans in celebrations after their thrilling 93-89 victory over the Baylor Bears.
The crowd erupted into cheers upon seeing McGregor, which seemed to inspire him. The former UFC champion then joined in on the chants, loudly shouting “B-Y-U” and encouraging the team with cries of “Go, Cougars!”
In a brief post-game interview, McGregor admitted he was highly impressed by the event and shared that he had long wanted to experience a college basketball atmosphere firsthand.
This isn’t the first time McGregor has been spotted courtside. Just days ago, he attended an NBA game between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Utah Jazz. During that match, he had a brief but amusing exchange with Bucks center Brook Lopez, who playfully highlighted his towering height to the fighter.
