“He means more to me than just a teammate.” Mané reveals Ronaldo’s touching confession

Al-Nassr’s star Senegalese forward Sadio Mané has shared heartfelt details of an intimate conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo, calling the Portuguese legend a member of his family.

Details: The Senegal international emphasized that a deep spiritual bond has developed between the Saudi giants’ attacking leaders—one that goes far beyond an ordinary football partnership. After one of their victories, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner approached Mané and delivered an emotional message, expressing his immense gratitude for their understanding on the pitch.

Sadio Mané shared his star teammate’s deeply moving words in the first person:

“After the match, Cristiano came up to me and said something I will never forget. He said to me: ‘Sadio, I love you, brother. You helped me move closer to my dream of scoring 1,000 goals in my career, and I will always be grateful to you for that.’ He told me that he no longer sees me as just a teammate or a friend, but as his younger brother. Honestly, those words meant a great deal to me because I have profound respect for Cristiano. He also told me that he hopes that one day we can visit Senegal together and do something special for the local people through charitable work. That truly touched me deeply. Football has given me a lot, but having a genuinely sincere relationship with someone like Cristiano Ronaldo is something I will always cherish. To me, he is more than just a teammate. He is family.”

It is worth noting that Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mané have formed Al-Nassr’s attacking partnership since the summer of 2023, producing remarkable numbers in the Saudi Pro League and the AFC Champions League.
