“He Makes Africa Proud” – Gomis Showers Praise on Osimhen

Former Galatasaray and France striker Bafétimbi Gomis has showered praise on Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen, applauding his explosive impact at Galatasaray this season.
Since arriving on loan last September, Osimhen has lit up the Turkish Süper Lig, scoring 30 goals in all competitions and helping Galatasaray reassert domestic dominance.
“I'm proud of him, Victor is defending the Galatasaray colours the way they should be. He’s hard-working, hungry, and doing an exemplary job. I hope he leads us to the title and makes Galatasaray, Africa, and all of Nigeria proud” Gomis said.
Despite his own stellar career — which includes a Süper Lig Golden Boot and stints at Lyon, Marseille, and Swansea — Gomis insists Osimhen needs no advice.
“He already knows he’s loved at Galatasaray. He just needs to keep scoring and making us proud,” Gomis added.
Now retired, Gomis knows what it means to succeed in Istanbul. And in Osimhen, he sees a worthy heir to the No. 9 mantle — one who’s rewriting the script for African strikers in Turkey.
