Next summer, Borussia Dortmund is set to undergo numerous personnel changes that will not only affect the team's lineup.

According to Sky Germany, a new sporting director may join the yellow-and-black team in the summer. Former chief scout of the club, Sven Mislintat, is set to take over this position instead of Sebastian Kehl. In turn, Kehl will replace Hans-Joachim Watzke as the general manager.

Previously, Mislintat worked in Borussia Dortmund's scouting department from 2006 to 2017. It was during his tenure that the club acquired players like Robert Lewandowski, Shinji Kagawa, Jakub Blaszczykowski, and others who became legends of the club, winning the Bundesliga under the guidance of Jurgen Klopp. Mislintat also played a key role in bringing Jadon Sancho to the team.

Mislintat's most recent position was at Ajax, where he served as the technical director but was dismissed in September due to a disappointing start to the season.

Before Ajax, Mislintat was the sporting director of Stuttgart. It was during his time there that a significant number of players joined the team, contributing to Stuttgart's current third-place position in the Bundesliga.
