England’s all-time top scorer Harry Kane has been granted permission by the coaching staff to join the national team with a delay.
Details: According to The Touchline, this decision comes as a result of the immense workload the 32-year-old striker has faced in recent weeks with Bayern Munich. The national team management decided to accommodate their leader, giving him extra days for recovery ahead of crucial international fixtures.
The situation is further complicated by the grueling Bundesliga and Champions League schedule awaiting Kane right after his return from international duty.
Despite his late arrival, Kane remains a central figure in Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the upcoming matches. The coaching staff is confident that this extra rest will allow the captain to approach the games in peak condition and minimize the risk of a serious injury.
It is worth noting that England have two matches scheduled in March, with the first one taking place this Friday, March 27, against Uruguay. Kick-off is set for 20:45 Central European Time.
Reminder: Ben White and Harvey Barnes have returned to the England squad.
