Robert Lewandowski has announced that he will leave Barcelona at the end of this season, and the Catalan club’s head coach has now commented on the decision.
Details: After the La Liga match, Hansi Flick admitted that replacing Robert would be an enormous challenge, describing him as the finest striker of the past decade.
Quote: “Replacing Lewandowski will not be easy... He has been the best striker of the last decade, and replacing him will be far from simple. We will have to wait and see whether we can sign another player, but it certainly will not be easy,” Flick said.
Lewandowski leaves behind a remarkable legacy and truly outstanding statistics. In a Barcelona shirt, he made 190 appearances, scoring 119 goals and providing 22 assists.
His phenomenal goalscoring record proved to be a decisive factor in the club’s trophy success, helping Barcelona secure three La Liga titles, three Spanish Super Cups, and one Copa del Rey.
As a reminder: Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal recently found himself at the centre of a major controversy following the Catalan club’s title celebrations.
