Haney's next opponent has been found
The president of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Mauricio Sulaiman, spoke about the upcoming fight for the junior welterweight championship belt.
As you know, the belt is owned by the undefeated American Devin Haney. According to Suleiman, his next opponent should be Sando Martin, as he is a mandatory challenger for the title, writes Pro Boxing Fans.
“I'm proud of Devin because he's just a great fighter. He decided to move up to junior welterweight, scored a knockdown and shocked Prograis a couple of times. This guy should not be underestimated.
Sandor Martin is the mandatory contender, and he is next in line. Now he agrees to wait a little, and we will take up this fight when the time comes,” said Suleiman.
It is noteworthy that Martin is currently 30 years old and has been performing in the professional ring since 2011. At one time, he entered the ring with American Mikey Garcia and won.
