Amid rumors surrounding a potential cancellation of the revamped 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, FIFA continues its official preparations for the tournament, making another minor step forward today.
Details: On the tournament’s official social media page on X, FIFA unveiled a poster for the 2025 Club World Cup. The poster features one player from each of the 30 teams that have already qualified for the competition.
Stars such as Erling Haaland, Vinícius Júnior, Lautaro Martínez, Antoine Griezmann, Cole Palmer, Dušan Vlahović, Harry Kane, and Marcelo are all represented.
The two remaining spots will be filled by the winner of the 2024 Copa Libertadores and a club from the United States, granted entry as the host nation.
Reminder: The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is scheduled to take place from June 15 to July 13 across 12 cities in the United States, whose names were announced by FIFA only yesterday.
For the first time in history, 32 teams from all continents will compete in the tournament, divided into 8 groups of 4 teams each.
