Haaland could miss Man City's next match due to the death of a close friend
Manchester City's top scorer, Erling Haaland, might miss the upcoming Premier League match against Brentford, but not due to injury.
Details: According to the Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola may grant Haaland an additional day off following the death of his close friend, Ivar Eggja.
The 59-year-old was very close to Haaland, serving as the best man at his father's wedding, and the City striker referred to him as "uncle." Eggja had a significant influence on Haaland's life and helped with logistics during his transfers.
Last year, Eggja accompanied Haaland to the Ballon d'Or ceremony.
However, Haaland has yet to make a final decision about participating in the match. He shared an emotional farewell post for Ivar on Instagram.
Reminder: Haaland has scored 7 goals in the first 3 Premier League matches of the season, including back-to-back hat-tricks against Ipswich and West Ham.
