Guardiola surprised with answer about which player of his team can replace Haaland
Due to an injury to young Norwegian forward Oscar Bobb, Manchester City effectively lacks a player who can naturally replace Erling Haaland. However, Pep Guardiola doesn't seem too concerned about this issue.
Details: After yesterday's match against Sparta Prague (5-0), the Spanish coach gave a surprising response when asked who could fill in for Haaland in his team.
"When Erling is not available, John Stones can play as a striker!"
"Gerard Pique in Barça, he had an incredible sense of goal and John is the same. He's already scored a few goals. He's back and I'm happy for him".
Stones, typically a central defender, has already scored three goals this season, including one in yesterday's match against Sparta.
Reminder: In the game against Sparta, Haaland scored a phenomenal backheel goal while leaping into the air.
