This summer, the contract of Manchester City veteran Kevin De Bruyne is set to expire, and it has yet to be extended.

The head coach of the "Citizens," Pep Guardiola, has commented on the future of the Belgian midfielder at Man City.

Quote: "What happens mainly depends on Kevin and the club. He is an exceptional player, has been, and hopefully will be," Guardiola replied succinctly.

Previously, Guardiola mentioned that he is not sure about the future of De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan this summer.

Reminder: This season, the 33-year-old Belgian midfielder has scored three goals and provided six assists in 27 matches across all competitions. The midfielder has been with Man City since 2015 after transferring from Wolfsburg.
