Earlier this year, rumors surfaced in the media that Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne was a top target for Saudi Arabia's Pro League officials in the transfer market. However, today, Pep Guardiola, the head coach of the English champions, definitively ended the speculation.
"No, Kevin is not leaving," Guardiola told Sky Sports.
Kevin De Bruyne's contract with Manchester City runs until the summer of 2025, meaning the club will lose the Belgian as a free agent if they do not extend his deal.
The 33-year-old attacking midfielder had previously confirmed discussions with Saudi Arabian representatives and hinted that he might consider their offer.
De Bruyne has been with Manchester City since the summer of 2015, scoring 102 goals and providing 170 assists in 382 appearances for the club. With Man City, De Bruyne has won the English Premier League six times.
