Guardiola discusses whether Ortega will continue replacing Ederson

In the recent match between Manchester City and Liverpool, Pep Guardiola surprised many by starting Stefan Ortega instead of Ederson in goal. Now, it seems clear whether this was a one-time decision or something more permanent.

Details: Ahead of the upcoming match against Nottingham Forest, Guardiola shed light on the situation during a press conference.

Quote:

"Ederson is our number one, Stefan Ortega is number two. But, maybe Stefan will continue...
We will see tomorrow and in the upcoming matches what happens."

Earlier, Guardiola had stated that Ederson's benching was due to concerns over his recent form.

Reminder: After the Liverpool game, Ortega expressed frustration over the behavior of rival fans.
