Guardiola couldn't hold back tears during Manchester City's emotional farewell to Kevin De Bruyne

Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola was visibly moved as he bid farewell to one of the club’s legends, Kevin De Bruyne. The Spaniard couldn’t hold back his tears during the emotional ceremony that took place after the match against Bournemouth in Premier League matchweek 37.
Manchester City organized a grand send-off for the Belgian midfielder: after the final whistle, both players and coaches of the Citizens formed a guard of honour on the pitch, and Kevin, accompanied by his wife and children, made his way down the line to the centre circle. At that moment, cameras zoomed in on Pep’s face, his cheeks glistening with tears.
"Manchester is my home, my children were born here. I came here with my wife planning to stay for a while, but never expected it would be ten years. We have won everything we could win, and made the club even better," an emotional De Bruyne told the fans during the heartfelt tribute.
Let’s recall, the Belgian spent 10 years in Manchester, joining from Wolfsburg in 2015. During this time, he won six Premier League titles and lifted the Champions League trophy in 2023. Kevin was also named Premier League Player of the Season twice.
There is still no information about De Bruyne’s next destination. It’s known that Liverpool and Napoli, as well as several MLS clubs, are interested in signing him.
