"Kevin is not just a player, but a unique person. We have gone through a lot over these ten years: games, training sessions, joys, and hardships. He has been with us every day, except for weekends and international breaks. It's hard to realize that this is all coming to an end," Guardiola said in an interview for City Xtra.

The coach also noted that he is confident that Manchester City will erect a statue of de Bruyne in front of the Etihad Stadium, as he deserves such an honor.
