Pep Guardiola shared his thoughts on Everton's deduction of ten points, comparing it to Manchester City, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

During the press conference ahead of the Manchester City - Liverpool match, Guardiola was asked about the league's decision regarding Everton.

"I'm not going to say a word about Everton because I don't know what happened there. It's two entirely different cases. I know people are interested in why City isn't being sent to the National League, but let's wait," Pep stated.

According to him, all the people discussing this don't know what really happened, and Guardiola himself is not fully informed yet.

“As I mentioned a month ago, if they did something wrong, they would be punished. After everything that has been done, I will remain here. Regarding Everton's case, I know nothing because it's entirely different. It cannot be compared”, added the City's head coach.

The English Premier League administration imposed a harsh penalty on Everton, deducting 10 points in the current season's standings. The reason behind this was a breach of financial fair play rules by the club's management.

Sources report that last year, the financial losses of the Liverpool-based club amounted to £304 million, significantly surpassing the permissible limit of £105 million set by the regulations of the English Premier League.
