Griezmann may leave Atlético. The player received an enticing offer from MLS

Antoine Griezmann is undoubtedly a key figure for Atlético Madrid, thanks to his outstanding performances in La Liga over the past two seasons. However, there is a possibility he may leave this summer.

Griezmann has long dreamed of ending his career in MLS, and this ambition might come to fruition sooner than expected. According to L'Equipe, the 33-year-old player has received an attractive offer from Los Angeles FC, where his former French teammates Hugo Lloris and Olivier Giroud already play.

The American club has been in negotiations with Griezmann's camp over the past few weeks, and has now presented a contract offer to the player himself. They want to sign him immediately, but are willing to wait until 2025 if the deal cannot be finalized this summer. They also have no issues with paying his release clause, which stands at 10 million euros.

The proposed contract would make Griezmann the second-highest-paid player in MLS, after his former Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi. Atlético Madrid will reportedly make every effort to retain him for at least one more season, especially after parting ways with Memphis Depay and Álvaro Morata this summer.
