It seems that Atlético Madrid and Spain forward Álvaro Morata will return to Serie A this summer.
According to SempreMilan, after the Euro 2024 final next week, Álvaro Morata will undergo a medical examination ahead of his move to AC Milan.
The Rossoneri will activate Morata's buyout clause, which is set at 13 million euros. The player has agreed to a four-year contract, under which he will earn a total of 22 million euros.
Milan believes that the experienced Spanish forward is the perfect replacement for Olivier Giroud, who has joined Los Angeles FC as a free agent.
It is expected that Atlético Madrid might replace Morata with last season's top scorer in La Liga, Artem Dovbyk from Girona.
Last season, Morata scored 15 goals and provided 4 assists in 32 matches for Atlético Madrid.
The 31-year-old forward's contract with Atlético Madrid runs until the summer of 2026.
