Tribute to a legend. Adidas will rename iconic boots in honor of Toni Kroos

Yesterday marked the final match of Toni Kroos's professional career. The Real Madrid and Germany midfielder announced back in May that he would hang up his boots after Euro 2024.

For Kroos, hanging up his boots has an additional significance. For many years, the German player used the same pair of blue-white-black Adidas Adipure 11pro boots, which he once called his most important tool on the field.

Former Real Madrid teammate Gareth Bale previously mentioned that Kroos cleans his boots himself, not trusting the task to specialists.

"We think he doesn't trust anyone else to clean them. So he always cleans them himself to keep them perfect."

In 2021, Kroos admitted that he is the only one who does this, considering his boots to be his main tool.

"I haven't seen another player at Real who cleans their boots every day and prepares them this way. My boots are the most important thing for me on the field, more so than for other players."

Since Kroos wore his legendary Adidas Adipure 11pro boots for the last time yesterday, the company decided to honor him.

Adidas released a statement on their social media page X, announcing their decision to rename the Adidas Adipure 11pro in Toni Kroos's honor.

"Toni Kroos and 11pro: love at first sight, sole mates till the last kick. Today, we are pleased to announce that in the future, the adidas 11pro will be renamed to adidas TKpro. Thank you, Toni."

This gesture from Adidas can be considered an excellent gift for the German player as he concludes his illustrious career.
