Everton is set to play one more match on its historic home turf this season—a fitting farewell as the club prepares to move to a new stadium next year. Yet, Goodison won’t be left behind.
Details: Everton has officially announced that, starting next season, the women's team will host their matches at Goodison Park. This decision comes following the arrival of new club owners.
Quote: “This move is driven by the rapid growth of Everton Women and the need for a larger, more suitable venue than Walton Hall Park,” the club’s statement reads.
The Everton women's team finished this season in eighth place, collecting 23 points from 22 matches.
Reminder: With David Moyes returning to Everton, the Toffees' management has promised the coach their support, which could lead to a substantial transfer campaign this summer. The club has already identified the positions Moyes can expect to strengthen.
