The Moroccan national team has received a major boost ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations third-round clash against Zambia.
Details: Morocco's head coach Walid Regragui has confirmed that Achraf Hakimi has fully recovered from the injury he sustained during the Champions League match against Bayern and is once again available for the national squad.
The Moroccan coach also acknowledged the contribution of the Paris club to Hakimi's recovery.
I want to thank Paris Saint-Germain. If Hakimi is back with us today, it's thanks to them. There's not a single club in the world that would release a player 15 days before the start of the Africa Cup of Nations," Regragui stated.
Additionally, the Morocco head coach expressed his gratitude to the PSG president:
"Nasser Al-Khelaifi is a true gentleman," the coach said.
It's worth noting that the Moroccan team will face Zambia tomorrow, December 29. Kick-off is scheduled for 20:00 Central European Time.
Reminder: Kylian Mbappé has arrived in Morocco to watch the Africa Cup of Nations.
