Goal-scoring spectacle: Lewandowski reaches another milestone as a top scorer

Barcelona faced Real Betis in the 16th round of La Liga, entering the match as league leaders under immense pressure to avoid mistakes, with Real Madrid and Atlético hot on their heels.

The first half unfolded with relentless attacks from the visitors, culminating in a well-deserved goal just five minutes before the break. Jules Koundé delivered a precise pass to Robert Lewandowski in the box, and the Polish striker calmly slotted the ball into an empty net.

Remarkably, this goal secured Lewandowski a spot among the top scorers of La Liga in the 21st century. He became only the sixth player to score at least 16 goals in the first 17 matches of a season, joining an elite group featuring Messi, Ronaldo, Eto’o, Falcao, and Diego Costa.

Notably, this was Lewandowski's 23rd goal of the current season. Alongside his 16 goals in La Liga, he has also netted seven times in the Champions League.
