Vitor Roque admitted that his brief stint at Barcelona was fraught with challenges, nearly leading him to quit professional football. The striker scored just two goals in 16 appearances for the Catalan club.

Details. Roque candidly shared how his confidence plummeted during his time at Barcelona, describing how his dream turned into a nightmare, forcing him to contemplate leaving football altogether.

"Yes, I thought about going to a farm [in Brazil] and living peacefully, away from everyone, because sometimes it’s tough... so much pressure. But it’s about pushing forward, having mental strength. Little by little, I’m regaining my full happiness and confidence," Roque revealed.

Context. Vitor Roque joined Barcelona from Atlético Paranaense in January 2024 for €35 million but struggled to find his footing at the club. In the summer, he was loaned to Real Betis, where he has scored five goals in 18 matches.
